Each week, students take part in three one-hour classes:-
All age groups take part in games and activities, developing essential skills which support the advancement of talent and ability – learning to play, being open, being part of a team. Imagination helps to open up the creative mind.
Concentration helps in all areas of life as well as in performance, and we will work on techniques which help with focus and memory.
Co-operation is another essential aspect of performance and life. Learning to be a team player, discovering how to find your role within a group and developing active listening skills.

These sessions develop skills in improvisation, sight reading, script appreciation, plays and performance. We may explore:There is a world of drama to explore and each term our classes focus on techniques and practices that cultivate each group appropriately.
- Ideas of Stanislavski, Meisner, Grotowski or Brecht
- Styles like the method system, physical theatre, Commedia del’Arte or farce
- Works of the Greeks, Shakespeare and writers all the way up to the modern day
Rehearsals for public performances take place in this class.
Voice & Body
These sessions develop the tools of performance: voice and body, enhancing individual’s awareness and ability.
Through fun activities we develop basic vocal skills: breathing, diction, projection, co-ordination and movement. We then cover intercostal breathing exercises, relaxation, Laban and Alexander Technique and much more.
As students progress we move on to vocal power, posture, relaxation, modulation, tone, articulation. We investigate how body language is used in performance and work with diction, pronunciation and accents whilst explore vocal techniques for stage, screen and radio. We show how we can develop thought, character and emotion in performance through voice and body.
